Grant Management
Let's face it - managing the budget planning, billing and revenue processes, and indirect rate of a Federal Grant is hard work. Let us help! DFAS's central function is the management of Federal Grant Budgets. From generating monthly project reports out of Quickbooks to reconciling project revenues against direct costs, DFAS has you covered.
Subcontract Drafting
DFAS can assist you in the drafting and processing of subcontracts. This includes using standard language in subcontracts, handling communications with the subcontractors to discuss project specific terms and acquire necessary signatures, and obtaining and recording required information from subcontractors such as W-9s and DUNS numbers.
Accounts Payable/Receivable Management
DFAS handles the billing process for many of our clients. This includes: verifying that the subcontract terms allow for payment, tracking the purchase orders and data entry in Quickbooks, obtaining required signatures on checks, mailing the checks, and monitoring cash flows to ensure short term cash needs can be met. DFAS also manages A/R for our Clients including invoicing, Payment Management System management and tracking, and tracking payments due from Vendors.
Subcontract Management
When receiving federal funding, it is important to closely manage any subcontracts given. DFAS assists in monitoring budget changes to reflect subcontract updates, tracks the status of subcontracts, including amount spent to date and expiration dates, verifies that the required internal / external work ratio is maintained, and monitors compliance with the Notice of Award.
Pension and 401k Management
Saving for retirement is important for everyone. DFAS can help you plan, calculate, and track your pension plans, as well as manage your employees’ own 401K contributions in addition to any employer matches.
Payroll
Whether your payroll is recorded in T sheets, Excel, or on paper time cards, DFAS processes payroll from start to finish including managing employee time cards, benefits, and submitting payroll via a payroll outsourcing service.
